The rise of Generative AI and multimodal platforms (such as Instagram and TikTok) has further compounded this challenge, making information verification both crucial and complex. Against this backdrop, research at the Digital Media and Society Institute has concentrated on developing frameworks and technological tools to effectively navigate the misinformation landscape, helping both citizens and communication gatekeepers become more resilient.
